The new Ferrari SC40 is subtle in its statements and bold in its innovation. Unveiled on 17 October 2025, this one-off Berlinetta springs from the house’s exclusive Special Projects program and channels the spirit of the legendary Ferrari F40, though it refuses to be a mere echo.
Where the F40 was adolescent in its defiance: raw turbo noise, Kevlar skin, the first Ferrari to break 200 mph, the SC40 is its adult reflection. A car not shouting for attention but commanding it, with the stillness of something that knows it will never be repeated.
Flavio Manzoni’s design team began with a simple idea: “If the F40 were designed today, what would it look like?”
The answer is not imitation but refraction. The SC40 carries forward the F40’s genetic markers: the wedge stance, the fixed wing, the louvered rear deck, but translated into language of 2025. The nose is long, almost architectural, with air intakes cut like precision jewelry. The headlights sit far at the corners, tightening the car’s expression into something nearly human, calm, alert, a little dangerous. At the rear, the mesh panels are left unapologetically open, revealing the red pulse of hybrid machinery beneath. It’s both exposed and composed, a study in tension. The entire body wears a new shade called Bianco SC40: a white with faintest metallic blush, like sunlight on bone. Ferrari has never made white feel this deliberate.
